Air India Pilots Stop Strike To Resume Work in 48 Hours
New Delhi, July 3 (ANI): Air India pilots on Tuesday called off their fifty-eight day-long strike, assuring the Delhi High Court that the 434 agitating pilots would resume work within the next two days, but some of their representatives said that several issues still needed to be resolved by the government.
The pilots have assured the Bombay High Court that they will submit their willingness to join in 48 hours.
The Air India management has stated that it will consider the pilots' case sympathetically, and might consider reinstating sacked pilots.
The disgruntled pilots had been sitting on an indefinite hunger strike for the past ten days.
Earlier on Monday, the Delhi High Court had ordered Indian Pilots Guild to amicably resolve the deadlock with the striking pilots.
Despite their worsening health, they remained relentless in their pursuit.
